Historic
Events was founded on the strength of our special events. Not run-of-the-mill
outings and pre-packaged events---but events born with passion and
executed with magic. Events that are not only based on hours of
historical details to get the theme 'just right' ---but those events
that truly "go down in history" for our clients.
A
sampling of a few of our favorite events.
"Bond.James
Bond"

This event for a Technology Conference in Boston was designed to
reflect the sleek, sexy and very high-techy feeling of the Ian Fleming
007 Movies. Theme elements included a wall of back-lit Bond Girls
dancing in silhouette to the Bond movie theme songs, state of the
art BMW motorcycle centerpiece, a sleek casino, Q's workshop with
techy gadgets for guests to play with and 007 movies playing on
four wide screens around the room.

Mysteries
of Egypt

This
technology conference focused on the 'birthplace' of technology
with a 'Mysteries of Egypt" theme party. Historical research resulted
in pyramid shaped 'factoids' that tied today's technology to ancient
Egypt. Event elements included a 20' high pyramid, painted temple
columns with client specific hieroglyphics, floor to ceiling painted
canvas drops of the Egyptian pyramids, middle eastern bazaar with
food vendors, costumes servers, as well as Duponi silk linens and
cushions for guest seating. Entertainment included buffet models
in temple costumes, authentic Egyptian musicians and belly dancers.

Motor City Drive-In

Our
most popular theme, this feel-good 1950's decade party was created
as the evening entertainment in a downtown Atlanta Ballroom for
a software company in conjunction with their annual conference.
The 1400 guests in attendance donned wigs, bowling shirts and poodle
skirts for a night of partying. This is the 'Rolls Royce' of 50's
parties with authentic booths and dinette sets, a working kitchen,
a full scale replica of a 50's Texaco gas station, working Coke,
candy, popcorn and hot-dog machines and a Bob's Big Boy rotating
statue.

Club
Lightbridge

This
10th Anniversary celebration was designed hand-in-hand with
the President of the company. She wanted this night to "blow away"
her employees and create a lasting tribute to the employees that
built the company. Boston City Hall was chosen as the site and its
austere concrete walls were brought to life with intelligent lighting,
laser, pyrotechnics, spandex structures and theme lighting. The
result was pure magic.

Donna Summer
Concert

Corporate
concerts with celebrity talent is one of our specialties. This event
was an intimate evening of dinner and a show at the New England
Life building in Boston. The employee cafeteria was converted into
an elegant dining room. Afterwards, guests were elated with a live
powerful concert by the Disco Diva herself, Donna Summer.

M.A.S.H.

This
theme was created for an annual health care conference. Seeing that
there were a lot of Medical doctors present, the client wanted a
M.A.S.H. theme. The theme was perfect, complete with real Army tents,
actors portraying the key TV characters, hors d' oeuvres passed
on gurneys, antique IV bottles on rolling stands, staff in hospital
scrubs or Army fatigues and acres of camouflage netting. The theme
'broke the ice' for the attendees accomplished just what the client
was looking for.

A Spectacular
Celebration

To
celebrate the Grand Opening of a client's newest facility, we produced
a summer event for over 5,000 employees and their families that
included a facility tour, a custom circus, an on-site constructed
amusement park and midway, a petting zoo, a casino, and a full New
England clambake. This was an event you have to see to really comprehend
the magnitude of it all. We utilized over nine acres of open ground
at the new facility and spend a full week setting up for this absolutely
spectacular day. Planning took over a year and we have a fantastic
video to show you!
